How does Charity Chics combine marketing, philanthropy and networking all into one event?

The founders of Charity Chics are very busy women who run their companies and manage their children and families. As exceptional multi-taskers, they designed a program to help other women find benefit from spending time together and supporting their local communities.

Is it Business or is it Personal? Actually, it’s both!
Charity Chics provides a casual atmosphere for women to gather and learn more about each other and the various companies represented by each member and guest.

During the open networking portion of each monthly meeting, many Charity Chics members take advantage of the opportunity to set up displays and provide samples or demonstrations of their products and services.

As the meeting begins, there is often a short training presentation on marketing, sales, social media or some other relevant topic presented by a Charity Chics member.

However, most of the meeting time is allocated to the attendees, who are each granted a few minutes to describe their business, give updates, distribute samples or business collateral and otherwise overview the services or products they provide. Humor is definitely a key component – as any participating Chic will tell you.

The meetings conclude with a lively prize drawing where attendees once again get to promote their companies by donating a prize.

So, in any given monthly Charity Chics meeting, there are at least five ways to market your company:

•    Open networking
•    Tabling displays
•    Training presentation to the group
•    Mini-business overview to the group
•    Donate a prize to the group

Meeting attendance averages between 20-25 women per meeting, and only one professional per industry is permitted to attend in order to prevent internal competition for the same type of business.

Non-Profit Support
At the beginning of each year, Charity Chics vote on three charities to fund for the year. Many of the charities assist women or young girls in some way. In the past, Charity Chics has supported

•    Hillsborough Achievement & Resource Centers
•    PACE Center for Girls
•    Metropolitan Ministries
•    Fulfill Your Destiny
•    Alzheimer’s Family Organization

As an organization, Charity Chics contributes to these organizations in several ways, including outright, unrestricted donations, special event table sponsorships and volunteer support. In several instances, members of Charity Chics have become so involved with these charities that they actually become board members of the non-profit organizations.

Charity Chics generates income for its charitable donations through membership dues, meeting fees, table display fees and prize drawings.
